winter fun

The weather has been so crazy lately, lots of teasing with snippets of sunshine only to be very cold and windy when venturing outside. G's grandparents in Iowa have had several snow days with more to come and Kansas City feels like London or Seattle... or any place that seems to reside in dense, cold, rainy, eerie fog 90% of the time.
Genevieve and I have been passing the days making plans for her first birthday next month and playing with books, puzzles and pots & pans.
Geoff's old point & shoot camera finally kicked the bucket just before Christmas and we decided it might be better to capture our daughter's precious childhood while he's gone in better form than cell phone photography. I can only tell you that it's nice, a little different than other p&s cams and that I'm struggling with learning to use it efficiently... ask Geoff for more details. :)
It's taking some practice and over-the-phone-tutorials from my loving and patient husband but I think I'm getting better... I've gotten some really good shots of the cat.
