Geoff will be home in 4 days!
We (I) are absolutely ecstatic that Daddy G will be home soon for fun-filled holidays, our first anniversary and of course to his sweet Baby G. Besides the joys of having help and my loving husband around the house, I am most excited for Geoff to see how much Genevieve has grown and developed.
These past couple weeks have been filled with learning to climb stairs, pulling up on mama and the furniture and practicing crawling on our knees. I keep trying to tell little Vivi that she would get places so much faster and thus be much less frustrated... but then I think "Wait, maybe I don't want her to get places faster. hmmm.)
I have learned that "babyproofing" is a never-ending process, kind of like cleaning-- maybe they are one and the same? Also, things that are not toys make the best toys. TV remote, clean diapers are favs. Genevieve also thinks it is aboslutely hilarious to pull the tub drain to empty the water!
Baby G still only has her two bottom teeth, but her demands for finger foods and her quest for independence have me scrambling to find suitable soft foods. She does quite well with mashing, so we've incorportated chunks of bananas, peeled grapes, kiwi, cooked carrots & green beans into meal times. She loves it and is always wanting more, especially the bananas.
I have a full few days of work this week then we will be anxiously twiddling our thumbs waiting for Geoff to pull in the driveway after his 18-hour long drive back from Maryland. We've missed him so much!
love to all.
p.s. pictures next time from Daddy G's awesome photography! :)

G'pa Dan and G'ma Carol got to witness the amazing Baby G's first crawl in a too brief visit on Sat. When that kid decides to go, watch out! Alissa, so great to see you both, and you look fantastic!
